Wallbaum Sessions: Gearing up for the show

What’s to come in the upcoming podcast

Wallbaum has been wanting to create a podcast for the past few years but life tends to get away from everybody from time to time. Not to mention the gear to do it. After all as with most podcasts, this will start out self produced. So as you can imagine recording software, different pieces of gear, and the knowledge base to do it, took a while to acquire.

So as the fall season creeps upon us, the end of all the pre planning comes to an end. The show will initially contain covers and our regular set of songs will be released. Later you can expect to see new songs both original and covers.

Later on you can expect to see new artists joining up with us and interviews with them to follow. You could even see a skit or two as time goes on. Needless to say as the show grows you can expect new and exciting content from every show.

Expected arrival

Wrapping up the gigging season in the fall months, the band is set to start recording in the winter, and shows are due to hit your computer screens in the spring.

Where to expect it

Unlike a live show, you won’t find the band in parks, bars, festivals or fairs. You won’t even catch them playing on the streets.

Instead you will catch them at home, in the office, or on the go. You will be able to catch all your favorites songs on your tablet, smartphone, tv or computer. Initial release of songs will be distributed across Youtube, Facebook and Soundcloud. With a little bit of sponsorship you could catch the podcast on Vimeo, Spotify, Amazon and other sites as well.

The reason why

It’s the love. Did you know that Wallbaum (for the most part) doesn’t play for money? Most bands you see out and about are there because it’s a paying gig. Over the past few years Wallbaum has been playing in the public eye for fun! All the equipment is paid for out of pocket and brought to local festivals and shindigs because the band finds playing enjoyable.

So bringing this  love directly to in your favorite setting is just another way for the band to do something new, that everyone can enjoy.
